I have always been creative with arts and crafts,
more so when my children were young. We would have
birthday parties for them in unusual places and I would
re-invent party games. One year for a business
meeting, I was given a small teddy bear to dress up for
a prize and won hands down. After receiving many
wonderful comments, I was inspired to create a special
and unique gift with teddy bears. The ideas and
designs may have changed a few times, but I am very
pleased with this final product. I named my
company Hat Box Bears.
Hat Box Bears are gifts for life's celebrations
and we would love the opportunity to create a treasured
memory just for you! We provide a variety of
choices to customize and personalize a Hat Box Bear
exclusively for you, the customer, to reflect a favorite
occasion, sport, hobby or special event.
As a mom of an Army soldier home from his tour of
duty, I got the idea to make military bears in his
honor. We have almost every branch of military
uniforms for your special soldier and include
personalized dog tags which are all presented in a flag
decorated hat box. A Military Hat Box Bear was
designed to be a treasured memory for military families
who have a family member serving our country or lost a
family member while serving our country. Hat Box
Bears is affiliated with a non-profit organization
called TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors)
and donate a percentage of each Hat Box Bear sold to
help TAPS provide assistance to military families who
grieve the loss of a loved one. TAPS is a one of a
kind, non-profit organization offering hope, healing,
comfort and care to thousands of American armed forces
families facing the death of a loved one each
year. For more information about the TAPS
organization, please visit their website: http://www.taps.org
My daughter and son are very supportive and have
a lot of input when it comes to the creating and marketing
of Hat Box Bears. I am very proud that they both
have grown up to be the wonderful young adults that they
are. My daughter is a graduate of Florida State
University and still lives in Tallahassee,
Florida. My
son is now living and working full time in Fort
Lauderdale after returning home from the Army in June,
2006.
